RESTORATIVE JUSTICE WEEK/JAMAICA 50
FEBRUARY 5-11, 2012
Theme: ONE PEOPLE, ONE SPIRIT, ONE JUSTICE.
GOAL: To build public trust and confidence in the justice system thereby moving Jamaica towards greater social cohesion.
OBJECTIVES
1. To increase public awareness/understanding of the roles and functions of the Ministry of Justice
2. To showcase the progress that has been made in the justice sector during the last 50 years
3. To increase public awareness of Restorative and Community Justice Practices and Processes.
4. To sensitize the public about the Jamaican Justice System- Past, Present and Future.
5. To provide the public with information about their rights, responsibilities and available justice services.
